Manufacturers delivered 730 new private jets in 2023, up from 712 in 2022 and slightly above the average of 710.8 units from 2010 to 2019.
There were 730 new private jets delivered in 2023, according to the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, or GAMA.
That’s a 2.5% increase from 2022.
It’s also in line with deliveries in the post-Financial Crisis era.
After the number of new private jet deliveries dropped from a record 1,317 in 2008 to 874 in 2010, the industry has never delivered more than 809 new business jets in a single year.
While the low was 644 in Covid-impacted 2020, six of the last 13 years have seen annual deliveries begin with a six.
In fact, from 2000 through 2009, the industry delivered an average of 828.6 business jets annually.
From 2010 through 2019, the private jet makers delivered an average of 710.8 units annually.
Since then, that average is just 688.7 units.
In 2023, Textron accounted for 168 of the 730 jet deliveries.
The Latitude led with 41 units.
Bombardier tallied 138 deliveries in 2023.
Challenger 350s and 650s made up 63 of that count, with Globals accounting for the other 75.
Embraer delivered 115 units, dominated by 63 of its Phenom 300 series.
Gulfstream Aerospace delivered 22 super midsize G280s and 89 larger cabin and ultra-long-haul jets.
Cirrus Aviation churned out 96 of its SF50 Vision Jets.
Meanwhile, Pilatus increased the output of its PC-24 jets from 40 to 47.
Honda Aircraft delivered 22 HA-420s, up from 17 the year before but down from 37 in 2021.
