Charlotte, North Carolina powers into 2023’s top U.S. private jet airports with 8.1% growth despite overall 4.8% drop.
Departures at the 25 busiest private jet airports in the U.S. saw volume drop 4.8% in 2023.
Only two of the airports saw gains compared to 2022.
Overall, Florida had five airports, and Texas had four of the top 25 private jet airports.
California was the only other state with multiple airports in the top list, with two.
That’s down from last year after San Jose Mineta International Airport fell off the list.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport saw flights increase by 8.1%, breaking the North Carolina city into the rankings, based on Argus/Traqpak data, in the 18th slot.
Teterboro Airport, in Northern New Jersey, across the Hudson River from New York City, saw flights rise 1.4% as it maintained its dominant first-place spot.
Palm Beach International and Dallas Love Field maintained their second and third spots, respectively, despite the decreased activity, as did fifth-place Los Angeles Van Nuys Airport.
Las Vegas jumped to the fourth spot from seventh despite a 0.9% dip.
Westchester County Airport in White Plains, New York, was hit with a 9.4% decrease.
It tumbled two spots to the sixth busiest private jet airport last year.
