The National Air Transportation Association has recognized charter operator and management company Clay Lacy Aviation for the 10th consecutive year.
The National Air Transportation Association has awarded Clay Lacy Aviation its Aviation Maintenance Technician Five-Star Award for the 10th consecutive year.
To earn the recognition, employers must have at least 90% participation in AMT-qualified training by maintenance technicians over the course of a year.
The employer recognition program standards include meeting at least 12 hours of specialized aircraft-related and FAA-related training each year.
“Clay Lacy Aviation has shown its consistent dedication to aviation safety and training,” says NATA President and CEO Curt Castagna.
He adds, “We congratulate them on their continued support of AMT training and maintenance technicians, who perform critical work to help our industry thrive.”
“To achieve this honor for a decade validates Clay Lacy’s above-and-beyond approach to safety, processes, and continuous improvement,” says Clay Lacy Vice President of Operations Mike Montgomery.
He adds, “Aircraft owners and operations know that when they receive maintenance service from Clay Lacy, work is being performed by highly skilled, well-trained technicians.”
Clay Lacy employs 80 technicians and operates Part 145 Repair Stations at its Van Nuys location, which serves Southern California, and its Northeast base at Waterbury-Oxford Airport in Connecticut.
Additional maintenance work and 24/7 AOG response are available in Orange County, California, and at Boeing Field-King County in Seattle.
The company offers a complete range of MRO services, including the latest in avionics and cabin entertainment, and more than $3.8 million in on-site parts inventory for shorter aircraft downtime.
Its technicians are certified to conduct heavy maintenance, repair, and inspection on leading business models, including Bombardier, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, Gulfstream, and Hawker aircraft.
The award complements the FAA’s validation of its Safety Management System Voluntary Program, which puts it in the top 2% of business aviation operations.
Its SMS standards have been certified to go well beyond and are now part of the FAA’s mandate for operators.
Clay Lacy has an as-available jet card and offers on-demand charter flights.
