After a roadshow to West Africa earlier this year, VistaJet is set to organize its first-ever East and South Africa Static Display Roadshow.

The events will showcase its Bombardier Global 7500.

The first stop is Nairobi, Kenya, followed by Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa.

According to the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association, the number of business jets operating in Africa is expected to grow 8% annually over the next five years.

Currently, Africa has 418 private jets.

South Africa has the largest business aircraft fleet, followed by Kenya and Nigeria.

According to Henley & Partners, South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, and Morocco account for 56% of Africa’s high-net-worth individuals and over 90% of its billionaires.

VistaJet has been operating in Africa for 14 years.

Africa flight activity grew 103% in the new Program hours, and the total hours flown increased 29% year over year during the first six months of 2024.

The total hours flown in East Africa increased by 46%, and the total in South Africa increased by 79%.

VistaJet 2024 growth

During the first half of 2024, Vista Global saw worldwide flight hours increase by 14% year over year while the overall market was down by 2%, per Vista.

Its jet card, the Program membership, saw a 19% increase in hours and an 18% increase in members.

VistaJet’s President of Europe and Africa, Philippe Scalabrini, said, “VistaJet is committed to offering top-rate, exclusive services to its extensive client network in this critical region. In response to the growing demand, we have deployed three dedicated aircraft while upholding our exceptional standards.”

He added, “VistaJet’s main expansion plan objective is to enhance Africa’s economic growth by increasing regional investments and facilitating overall growth.”

Program members can book flights at contracted one-way pricing and cancel flights without penalty with as little as 24 hours’ notice.
