VistaJet was founded in 2004 by Swiss entrepreneur Thomas Flohr.


The company is based in Malta with global offices in London, New York, Fort Lauderdale, and Hong Kong.


In 2018, Flohr formed a holding company, Dubai-based Vista Global Holding.


VGH has since acquired XOJETJetSmarter (with the brokerages combined into XO), Red Wing Aero, Apollo Jets, and Talon Air. VistaJet’s U.S. fleet is operated by XOJET Aviation

In 2020, VistaJet launched its first dedicated program targeting corporate accounts. It also expanded its Private World collaborations with luxury travel advisors.


In 2021, VistaJet announced said it will be carbon neutral by 2025.


It also said it will add up to 12 Bombardier Global 7500s and 10 Challenger 350s to its fleet by 2022. 

Vista Global also acquired Jet Edge and Air Hamburg.

With over 350 owned, leased, and managed aircraft, Vista Global created a Vista Members Fleet, including aircraft with upgraded interiors and standardized liveries.
