Following its SEC filing earlier this month Jet AI formally announced its order for Citation CJ4 light jets from Textron Aviation.
Jet AI becomes the latest private jet operator to tap Textron Aviation for fractional and co-ownership fleet programs.
FlyExclusive, Fly Alliance, and Jet Out have all launched fractional programs using Textron Aviation over the past several years.
NetJets signed options for up to 1,500 aircraft from Textron in 2023.
Jet AI will fly the CJ4 Gen2 with its order for three tails.
Jet AI deliveries are scheduled for Q2, Q3 and Q4 of 2026.
Its plans were revealed earlier this month in an SEC filing.
Chairman Mike Winston said, “Because our customers love the Cessna Citation CJ4 we already operate, we’re enthusiastic about edging into more capacity in this aircraft.”
He added, “Since its introduction 14 years ago, the CJ4 has been continually improved by Textron Aviation and has established a track record of reliable service. It offers existing light jet customers an excellent upgrade option to serve their travel needs.”
Jet.AI currently operates three HondaJets, one Citation CJ4, and a King Air 350i.
According to the announcement, this agreement is in addition to its plan to add Challenger 3500s.
