San José Mineta International Airport’s 6% year-over-year increase was tops among the 25 busiest U.S. private airports for private jet flights in 2024.
Located in San Jose, California, the increase moved the Silicon Valley airport into this year’s list based on data from ARGUS TraqPak.
Dropping out was Charlotte Douglas International Airport, last year’s biggest gainer.
Volume at the busiest airports dropped .03% in 2024 from 2023.
Overall, 13 of the 25 airports saw increases.
In 2023, only two of the 25 top private jet airports saw gains.
The three busiest airports held their spots.
Teterboro Airport in New Jersey kept the top spot with 74,832 departures, a 0.3% gain (table below).
Palm Beach International Airport stayed in the second spot with 41,967 takeoffs, a 1.8% drop.
Dallas Loved Field closed the gap with a 1.7% gain, but its 40,332 departures still placed it third.
Westchester County Airport in White Plains, New York, moved to the fourth spot from sixth place.
Van Nuys Airport stayed in fifth place despite a 3.0% drop.
Harry Reid in Las Vegas fell from fourth to sixth after a 4.6% decline.
Washington Dulles and Miami Opa Locka Executive Airport kept their seventh and eighth spots.
Peachtree DeKalb Airport in Atlanta and Houston Hobby Airport each moved up two spots to round out the 10 busiest private jet airports.
Scottsdale Airport and Denver Centennial each dropped two spots to lead the next 10.

Florida had the most airports on the list with five.
That included Palm Beach, Miami Opa Locka, Naples, Fort Lauderdale International, and Fort Lauderdale Executive.
Texas had four airports on the top 25 list.
Dallas Love Field, Houston Hobby, Austin Bergstrom, and San Antonio were in the top airports.
California had three airports – Van Nuys, Orange County, and San Jose International.
Two Chicago airports – Chicago Executive and Midway made the list.
No other state had more than one airport.
