The contest will award $100,000 to the winner whose design will be implemented aboard a Flexjet Gulfstream G650.
From a Paris Love Affair, Parisian-inspired Cafe (pictured above) to Vintage Palm Springs, Regency Hollywood Glamour, Scandinavian Sauna Culture, Mid-Century Modern, and just Calm Functional Balance, one of the 10 semifinalists in the Flexjet Gulfstream G650 design contest will provide some lucky fractional owners with a stunning ride.
The contest was announced last November.
In this stage, you can cast your vote.
Voting runs through April 30, 2025.
The top three entrants with the highest votes will present their designs to Flexjet Chairman Kenn Ricci at the flight provider’s global headquarters in Cleveland.
Ricci will choose the grand prize-winning design.
The winner will see their design implemented, complementing over 50 unique custom interiors as part of its LXi Cabin Collection.
They will also collect $100,000.
A panel of judges narrowed down the entries to the final 10.
They include designers, a furniture sales executive, an architect, two students, and Steve Varsano, a well-known private jet sales executive.
Varsano is known for his innovative approach to selling pre-owned private jets.
The Jet Business operates from a Mayfair street-level retail location that includes an interior mock-up of a private jet that serves as Varsano’s office.
His design is titled A Celebration of Flight.
Two Embry-Riddle students also made it to this round.
Ander Turueno Garcia calls his vision Escape to San Miguel.
Fellow student Woojae Sohn went with Functional Timeless Perfection.
Other competitors include interior designers Naomi Clarke, Molly Bryant, and Susan Byrd, designers Dave Slama, Jean-Pierre Alfano, and Todd Rushing, design director Robin Dunlop, architect Kristin King, and Dieter Franz, the head of sales with an Austrian furniture company.
Ricci says, “Beautiful design can completely transform an experience, and I have always enjoyed studying design, whether in clothing, architecture, or aircraft.”
Current interiors include Capris, inspired by the Isle of Capri; Art Deco, inspired by the Roaring 20s; Santa Fe, from the southwestern U.S.; and Boardroom, inspired by the 1999 movie The Thomas Crown Affair.
In 2022, Flexjet collaborated with Bentley Motorcars.
The collaboration was for the G650 and Sikorsky S-76 interiors using the Bentley Bacalar.
An interior with yacht builder Ferretti Group is set to premiere in 2025.
The design and craftsmanship of a Riva motor yacht will inspire it.
