The first Cessna Citation XLS Gen2 is now on FlyExclusive’s operating certificate.

It is part of the fifth-largest U.S. charter/fractional operator’s fleet renewal program.

Chairman and CEO Jim Segrave says, “Our fleet refresh remains an important focus for us.”

He adds, “Adding the XLS Gen2 gives our customers a well-balanced aircraft option and strengthens our mid-jet capabilities.”

FlyExclusive has been updating its fleet by phasing out older aircraft.

It is focusing on the CJ3+ as its light jet, XLS for midsize, and Challengers for super-midsize.

In 2022, the Kinston, North Carolina-based flight provider ordered eight of the XLS midsize jets as part of launching its fractional ownership program.

Earlier that year, it placed orders and options for up to 30 of Textron Aviation’s CJ3 types.
