Tech veteran Justin Nihon is the new CEO at Linear Air.

He had previously served as an advisor in 2024 and earlier in his career had been a sales and marketing manager.

Founder William (Bill) Herp (pictured) is now chairman.

The moves were made last month.

Herp said, “It has been an incredible honor to lead Linear Air through so many phases of growth and change.”

He added, “As I transition into the role of chairman, I am confident that Justin Nihon’s combined understanding of private aviation, enterprise technology, and customer experience will ensure Linear Air continues to evolve and service our customers in new and innovative ways.”

Nihon brings expertise in air charter and private aviation.

He also has extensive experience advising enterprise organizations on their technology and cloud infrastructure strategy.

That includes stints with Amazon Web Services and Oracle.

His roles included driving software adoption, market development, and customer success.

Nihon praised Herp, adding, “Private aviation is evolving, and with the growing demand for in-person work and experiences, Linear Air is uniquely positioned to lead and accelerate the transformation of air travel.”

The Linear Air online platform offers a broader-than-most assortment of small jets, turboprops, and piston charter aircraft.

It offers a dynamic pricing membership.

Linear Air made news earlier this year with multiple complaints to the Transportation Department.

It had alleged that several other brokers had violated the DOT’s advertising rules.
