Prive Jets is also leveraging its relationship with Virtuoso travel agencies as it plans to launch instant booking for ad hoc charters.
Miami-based Prive Jets is enhancing its guaranteed jet cards by moving to capped rates.
The jet card offers guaranteed availability with 72 hours’ notice on non-peak days.
That’s not changing.
However, for customers who request flights at least 120 hours before departure on non-peak days, Prive Jets now treats the rates as caps.
COO Andres Arboleda tells Private Jet Card Comparisons that during a test period leading up to last month’s launch, the broker managed to save clients 12% to 18% off the formerly fixed rate.
Prive Jets shops for both better pricing and discounted upgrades.
The customer can choose any market-based option or continue with the booking at the capped rate.
“This means you have protection with a guaranteed rate cap – the most you will pay, and the option to have us shop for additional options,” he says.
Arboldeda says Prive Jets continues to benefit from its position as a sister company to Forest Travel Agency.
The travel agency is part of the Virtuoso network.
Prive Jets clients have access to the services of the luxury travel advisors.
At the same time, Prive Jets has been a preferred private aviation partner for the Virtuoso network.
Its travel agencies sell over $30 billion in luxury travel.
Arboleda says that more than a decade of serving the travel advisor network and its UHNW clients is a testimonial to its high-touch service.
It is both Argus- and Wyvern-certified.
It is also a regular winner in the World Travel Awards.
About 80% of Prive Jets’ volume is ad hoc charters, Arboleda says.
By moving to capped rates for its jet card, he believes it will give more customers a reason to switch to its programmatic offering.
The jet card has guaranteed rates covering the Continental U.S., Canada, Mexico, and select Caribbean destinations.
Arboleda says the company has a sizeable business in South America, where it has been building its support staff, as well as in Europe.
He says its footprint in Latin America has provided opportunities to work with other brokers, helping them source aircraft in the region.
Arboleda says that, in addition to traditional broker sourcing tools, Prive Jets maintains its own internal database of updated operator charter licenses, insurance certificates, and aircraft interior images.
Coming next will be instant booking for ad hoc charters.
Arboleda says the success in working with the Virtuoso agencies has been in-house technology that enables it to provide accurate estimates before hard quotes.
He says Prive Jets will soon be able to launch instant booking prices for those on-demand flights.
