The New England Patriots and Magellan Jets ambassador Mike Vrabel are headed to Super Bowl LX after an epic worst-to-first turnaround.
The New England Patriots are giving Magellan Jets a Super Bowl boost via their first-year Head Coach, Mike Vrabel.
The New England Patriots, champions of the AFC, will meet the NFC’s champion Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl LX.
The game will be played on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. EST and broadcast on the NBC networks.
Vrabel took over the last-place Patriots before the start of this current NFL season.
In June of last year, Quincy, Massachusetts-based Magellan Jets announced that Vrabel had selected the company as his “preferred private aviation provider.”
Back then, Vrabel said, “It’s important to have a reliable travel partner I can absolutely trust, and Magellan Jets has proven to be that time and time again.”
He added, “Since day one, its team has treated my family and me like its very own.”
New England was coming off a last-place finish with 4 wins and 13 losses.
The team had risen to prominence under former Head Coach Bill Belichick and Quarterback Tom Brady.
The pair won six Lombardi Trophies, the award given to the winner of the league’s annual championship game.
However, 2024 marked the franchise’s third-straight losing season.
It was its second consecutive last-place finish.
Vrabel was a popular player for the Boston team and was part of its first three Super Bowl championships.
Before becoming the Patriots’ head coach, he had spent six seasons in the same position with the Tennessee Titans.
After winning seasons in his first four years, there were two losing seasons, and he was out.
Pundit predictions for this year were modest at best.
ESPN ranked the 2025 Patriots 23rd out of 32 teams in its preseason rankings.
NFL Network tabbed the Patriots at number 22.
Magellan Jets President Anthony Tivnan said back in June, “We’re proud to deepen our partnership, delivering the safety, ease, and personal attention that support his success on and off the field.”
Chief Executive Officer Marc Hebert added, “Whether flying NFL leaders, MLB stars, or golf champions, Magellan Jets is dedicated to meeting the unique demands of elite athletes.
Other partnerships for Magellan Jets include the Boston Red Sox.
In January 2025, it named golf instructor Claude Harmon III and PGA TOUR star Will Zalatoris as ambassadors.
Earlier this month, it launched a series of curated luxury travel experiences.
In terms of flight programs, it offers four different jet card and membership programs.
Last year, it also partnered with Slate Aviation for a large-cabin fractional-ownership program.
While Magellan Jets can lay claim to its partnership with the head coach of the New England Patriots, it will have company in the aviation space.
Registration records show team owner Robert Kraft has fractional ownership of a Challenger 350 with NetJets.
He also has a Gulfstream G500.
There are also two converted Boeing 767 airliners for team use, registered as N36NE and N225NE.
Omni Air operates the 767s and, according to online reports, also operates charter flights, including military flights, when not flying for the Patriots.
With their success, the Patriots have had several notable players as ambassadors for private jet companies.
Tom Brady is a longtime ambassador for Wheels Up.
Rob Gronkowski is an ambassador for Sentient Jet.
While they are currently seen on Fox Sports, they will be sidelined this year since the Big Game is on NBC.
Belichick, who is now the head coach at the University of North Carolina, gets 25 hours of flight time on a private jet via his contract.
However, there does not appear to be a promotional aspect to that deal.
So far, it’s unclear whether star quarterback Drake Maye has a private jet deal.
However, his wife, Anne Michael Maye (pictured above), was seen last week on social media in a partnership with JetBlue.
JetBlue is the official airline of the Patriots.
