U.K.-based Air Charter Service is continuing efforts to support local charities across its 41 offices worldwide.

Last year, its charity committees around the world helped raise more than $200,000.

The contributions came via an array of challenges, volunteering, and raffles.

It marked the second straight year Air Charter Service had raised that amount.

Group HR Director Katie Ivie said, “The worldwide team has really stepped up again following our record amount last year, with a range of physical challenges, including marathons, a 550-mile bike ride, summitting Kilimanjaro, and donations made by staff towards the relief effort following the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica last October.”

Christmas party raffles raised $43,000.

Other activities included quiz nights and bake sales, including a recent bake sale in advance of Valentine’s Day.

Ivie said, “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one that put in the effort and their hands in their pockets to help to reach this fantastic total.”

Additional philanthropic endeavors include staff in its New York office volunteering at a Long Island soup kitchen.

Also, volunteers from the London office wrapped Christmas presents for local children’s charity Momentum.

In Brisbane, Australia, the Air Charter Service team volunteered alongside their local Salvation Army.

The project created food hampers of essentials to give extra support to families over the holiday period.
