While CEO Mike Silvestro referenced a Gulfstream order of G700s and G500s in a TV interview last month there has been no formal follow-up.
A formal announcement of a Flexjet fleet order with Gulfstream Aerospace may finally be coming.
Back in April, Flexjet CEO Mike Silvestro told Yahoo News, “We have long-term agreements with the three major suppliers that we utilize, Gulfstream at the high end with our large cabin aircraft, Embraer the mainstay of our fleet in the light mid and super mid aircraft, as well as with Bombardier.”
After referencing last year’s order with Embraer, he added, “We did the same thing with Gulfstream just recently for the new G700s and new G500s.”
That came after a Flexjet spokesperson teased a new fleet type but didn’t specify which one.
However, neither company has made a formal announcement before or since.
A short video on social media now teases a new fleet addition.
A graphic evolves from a paint can being stirred into what appears to be the Gulfstream jet’s signature window.
Text then appears “The Flexjet fleet, further refined” before fading.
Next text appears, reading, “A new measure of luxury.”
It then fades to “Coming soon Summer 2026.”
As of May, the FAA registry shows two G500s already on Flexjet’s certificate in the U.S.
Flexjet has been operating G700s since last year.
Those G700s date back to a 2019 order and the new pre-owned market.
It currently operates 71 large and ultra-long-haul jets.
