The Florida-based charter broker hosted a hurricane supplies giveaway, in partnership with the Lauderhill Boys & Girls Club and Red Cross.
Monarch Air Group hosted its second annual Hurricane Preparedness Kit Giveaway on September 19, 2026.
In partnership with the Lauderhill Boys and Girls Club, and with support from the American Red Cross, the event distributed hurricane supplies to local families during hurricane season.
Each kit included, among other things, first aid supplies, canned food, bottled water, portable phone chargers, and flashlights.
“Last year’s event had a great turnout,” said David Gitman, Monarch Air CEO, to Private Jet Card Comparisons. “And we decided to go have an even larger giveaway this year.”
Gitman continued:
‘Thanks to our friends at the Red Cross and the Boys and Girls club, as well as extensive coverage by the local news, we had an even larger turnout this year.’
“We are so glad that we can get help wherever we can,” said Carlene Manning, a local resident who attended the giveaway, in an interview with CBS News Miami. “So I am so glad for this organization to be helping out the community.”
Florida’s peak hurricane season is from mid-August to late October.
During that time, warmer sea surface temperatures and reduced wind shear make it easier for hurricanes to form.
This isn’t the first time jet companies have joined against hurricanes, such as the NBAA’s response to Hurricane Melissa.
