Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X profile, including current pricing, manufacturing dates, cabin size and passenger capacity, range, speed, baggage space, and jet card options.

The Dassault Falcon 7X is a large-cabin, long-range private jet manufactured by the French aerospace company Dassault Aviation.

Business Jet Traveler writes, “With a range of 5,797 nautical miles, the 7X may not have the longest legs in the large-cabin bizjet ‘uber-barge’ derby, but it is the undisputed champ in the go-anywhere sub-category.” It points to its performance on the 3,570-foot runway at Gstaad, Switzerland, with pavement to spare.

The Falcon 7X made its first flight on May 5, 2005, and was certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) in April 2007.  Production of the Falcon 7X began in 2006. As of 2021, over 300 Falcon 7X aircraft have been delivered. In 2013, Dassault introduced an upgraded version of the Falcon 7X, known as the Falcon 8X. The Falcon 8X was certified in June 2016.

What is the range of a Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X?

The Falcon 7X powered by three Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A turbofan engines, which provide a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.90 and a range of up to 5,950 nautical miles (6,845 miles). It has a maximum takeoff weight of 70,000 pounds and a maximum altitude of 51,000 feet.

Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X reviews

The 7X is the first “all new” Falcon since the three-engine Model 50 was developed in the 1970s. The big cabin 900 series and the twin-engine 2000 family are all derivatives of the excellent work done on the 50.

Mac McClellan

Flying

The 7X handles nonstop flights between such city pairs as New York and Riyadh, Paris and Singapore, and Los Angeles and Rome. Its cabin can be configured for 12 to 16 passengers, and cabin altitude at 51,000 feet is a refreshing 6,000 feet (typically lower at airline altitudes). The aircraft climbs like a rocket, reaching 39,000 feet in as little as 15 minutes after takeoff, and has a fast cruise speed of Mach 0.90. And it burns up to one-third less fuel than comparable aircraft.

Mark Huber

Business Jet Traveler

The Dassault Falcon 7X has a range of 6,847 miles and a cabin that’s 39 feet long, but perhaps more impressive than its range or size is its agility. Its top operating speed is 594 mph, but its approach speed is as slow as 120 mph. This enables the aircraft to land on runways as short as 2,070 feet, giving it access to hundreds of airports that are off limits to other jets of its size.
