Industry veterans Jeff Mihalic is now President & Chief Executive Officer and Lee Gossett is Senior Vice President – Operations & Chief Operating Officer
If you read Private Jet Card Comparisons, you will know Delta Private Jets has a new boss since we broke the news back on November 11, but it’s now apparently official, and comes with a second appointment we hadn’t previously covered. Jeff Mihalic who is the new CEO replaces Gary Hammes, who has taken a new leadership role in Delta Air Lines Technical Operations and is serving on the Board of Directors for Delta Private Jets to allow for a smooth transition. At the same time, Lee Gossett is now Senior Vice President – Operations and Chief Operating Officer.

Jeffrey Mihalic is the new boss at Delta Private Jets, coming from another subsidiary of parent Delta Air Lines
Delta Air Lines has apparently put a new CEO in place at its Delta Private Jets subsidiary, something that was seemingly done without a press release, and marks the second change since June 2017 when then boss David Sneed exited the top spot. We only picked it up when we noticed a new leader being quoted when Delta Private Jets announced its partnership with Madison Square Garden. A quick check of Delta Private Jets’ website shows Jeffrey Mihalic is indeed now listed as president and CEO, but we couldn’t find any press releases about the news.
The managed fleet jet card provider continues the trend of private jet companies partnering for exposure in high-profile sports venues
According to a press release, The Madison Square Garden Company and Delta Private Jets have inked a multi-year partnership that names Delta Private Jets as the exclusive naming partner of Madison Square Garden’s Event Level Suites. Delta Private Jets is a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, one of Madison Square Garden’s longtime Signature Partners.
Sky Access is Delta Private Jets’ empty leg program
Through Dec. 31, 2018, you can earn 20,000 SkyMiles if you purchase a Sky Access membership and provide your SkyMiles account number at the point of purchase. Delta Private Jets flights are operated by Delta Private Jets, Inc., an FAA-certificated Far Part 135 air carrier, or by another FAA-certificated Part 135 or Part 121 air carrier. The program was launched in January and updated in May.
The two-year deal comes on the heels Delta Private Jets making several changes to its popular jet card program
Organizers of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) announced a new two-year agreement with Delta Private Jets, a wholly owned subsidiary of Delta Air Lines, to be the official private jet carrier and presenting sponsor of the show’s Windward VIP Club, according to a press release.
The management fleet jet card provider is increasing its entry price by $50,000
Delta Private Jets (DPJ) has increased its entry-level program to $150,000 from $100,000 we have confirmed. From what we’ve seen hourly rates are increasing too, as is the segment minimum from 60 to 72 minutes, although it looks like the standard 12 minutes of taxi time is now part of that calculation. It also appears surcharges for international flights are on the way up. We’re waiting to get all the details but wanted to give you the heads up.
