Stephanie Chung, the president of JetSuite, has been named to the 2020 Ebony Magazine 2020 Power 100 List.
The first African-American female to lead a major private aviation company, Chung was named as one of the magazine’s Trailblazers.
The annual list included Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes, power couple John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen, and CBS host Gayle King among others.
Under its Trailblazers category, in addition to Chung, Lori Lightfoot, the first African American female mayor of Chicago, Cynt Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks, and Vicki Chancellor, owner-operator of McDonald’s franchises in Greater Atlanta were all recognized.
Chung’s aviation career started in the 1980s with Piedmont Airlines in Boston. It progressed through various roles at US Airways, before entering into private aviation.
She served as vice president of Flexjet and oversaw and held various executive sales positions with Skyjet.
Chung resides in Dallas and is an active member of several local committees. They include Elevation Society, Executive Women’s Roundtable and Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. She is the author of Profit Like a Girl, A Woman’s Guide to Kicking Butt in Sales and Leadership. Chung is also creator of the High Ticket Selling Made Simple course and Neuroscience Selling.
JetSuite and sister JSX (formerly JetSuiteX) recently earned a perfect score in the 2020 Corporate Quality Index ranking.
