Flexjet clients in Europe will be landing in style at this year’s Royal Ascot, which goes through the weekend. The official sponsor has emblazoned its logo on the helipad.
The five-day event attracts hundreds of the world’s top thoroughbred racehorses. They compete in 35 races at the Berkshire racecourse, including eight Group 1 races. The races date back to 1807, and regular visitors include Queen Elizabeth II and other members of the British royal family.
Flexjet fractional shareowners and jet card clients can arrive by helicopter at the Berkshire course, landing directly at the private helipad. They will be welcomed with complimentary champagne and use of the heliport lounge and bar. Free Porsche transfers from the helipad to the racetrack are included.
Earlier this year, Flexjet parent OneSky Flight bought U.K.-based helicopter operator Halo Aviation. It’s since ordered 200 eVTOL’s from Embraer-backed Eve that will eventually take the place of current rotorcraft. One hundred of the eVTOLs are earmarked to serve London-based customers.
