Golf Experiences with UP is the latest lifestyle initiative by Wheels Up as it seeks to occupy a space beyond just private aviation with members.
According to a spokesperson, “Wheels Up membership will now open the door to unique access at some of the biggest tournaments, as well as thoughtfully curated experiences at some of the most prestigious courses in the world.”
Curated on-site experiences at tournaments include:
Feb 7–13, 2022, in Phoenix, Arizona
Members can reserve access to a luxury Skybox on the 16th green through Wheels Up partner Confirmed360.
Mar 10–13, 2022 in Ponte Vedra, Florida
The Players Championship includes access to golf’s unofficial fifth major through Wheels Up partner Confirmed360. The offer features transportation and accommodations booked through membership services.
There are exclusive access and rates to top golf destinations and courses. Courses include Pinehurst, Salamander Hotel & Resort (Innisbrook), Dormie Network, Punta Mita, Horseshoe Bay, and The Abaco Club.
Wheels Up also continues its Wheels Down hospitality during The Masters in Augusta, Georgia.
Last month Wheels Up added exclusive departures for luxury itineraries with Abercrombie & Kent.
Members also get VIP treatment at Landry’s fine dining restaurants. During the summer, a new Porsche partnership unveiled preferential monthly subscriptions and daily rentals.
American Express Platinium and Centurion members get discounted membership and flight credits, as well as access to the experiences.
Earlier this week, Wheels Up announced terms for new members. Those who deposit less than $200,000 will be restricted from flying on full aircraft charters during their first 90 days.
They will, however, get 15 months’ membership. They also have access to all other program benefits right away. That includes joining posted shared flights and partner offers such as Golf Experiences with UP.
