By-the-seat flight provider JSX is adding its first route to the Bahamas beginning Dec. 14 nonstop from Westchester County and Miami.
JSX is expanding to the Bahamas with flights to Marsh Harbour.
The new service begins Dec. 14, 2023, and will run through the Spring as a seasonal service.
Marsh Harbour will be serviced five times a week nonstop from Westchester County Airport and Miami Opa Locka.
Flights from Dallas Love Field will be offered on the same plane on a one-stop basis.
Prices each way start at $199 from Florida, $649 from New York, and $849 from Texas.
“We are steadfast in our commitment to easing access to vacation-worthy destinations such as the Bahamas by offering the most convenient and hassle-free travel possible,” said JSX CEO Alex Wilcox.
He added, “We are thrilled to announce that we are expanding our flight network to the beautiful beach town of Marsh Harbour, allowing customers the opportunity to skip long lines in style, with comfort and ease.”
“After months of engagement with JSX, we are excited to support this new launch for Abaco, even as the island continues its impressive trek towards full post-Dorian and Covid pandemic recovery,” said The Honourable I. Chester Cooper, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation.
He noted, “With the additional air stopover arrivals and increased seat capacity from such an important key market, we are pleased to expose new and returning visitors to a beautiful and diverse product and expect tremendous economic benefits for the local communities.”
JSX uses private terminals, avoiding airport crowds.
For international flights, check-in is 45 minutes before departure.
JSX customers get free checked luggage, complimentary cocktails and snacks, and high-speed WiFi service.
According to the JSX website, the new flights are in addition to its nonstop flights between OPF and HPN.
