Volato is launching a seven city tour for its first Gulfstream G280 starting in Atlanta on August 9th.
The first Gulfstream G280 for Volato’s nascent super-midsize will be delivered next week and is going on tour.
The new type will operate alongside the 2021 start-up’s fleet of more than two dozen HondaJets.
It marks Gulfstream’s entry into the super-midsize fractional market.
“Our customers’ travel needs are diverse, and while the majority of private aviation missions are efficiently served by the HondaJet, there is significant demand for larger aircraft for longer journeys and bigger groups,” said Matt Liotta, CEO of Volato.
He added, “The G280 addresses these needs, ensuring we continue to provide the right aircraft for every mission. This addition reinforces our commitment to offering tailored solutions that enhance flexibility and convenience for our customers.”
Tour dates are as follows:
• Friday, August 9th: Atlanta, GA, 3-7 PM
• Saturday, August 10th: Chicago, IL, 3-7 PM
• Sunday, August 11th: Los Angeles, CA, 2-5 PM
• Monday, August 12th: Dallas, TX, 4-7 PM
• Tuesday, August 13th: Miami, FL, 3-7 PM
• Wednesday, August 14th: New York, NY, 3-7 PM
• Thursday, August 15th: Houston, TX, 3-7 PM
Volato expects to receive two of its four G280s this year.
It will use the 10-seat configuration to compete against large cabin options.
In June, it anticipated eight to 10 additional VLJ deliveries in 2024.
In 2023, Volato was the 16th-largest private jet operator in the U.S., ranked by fractional and charter flight hours.
