The Trump bump continues as global private jet flight activity (74,156 segments) increased 2% week-to-week, putting it 13% ahead of 2023.

In the U.S., flights (52,831 segments) were 4% up sequentially and 19% up year-over-year. Thanksgiving holiday dates spurred the latter.

Still, U.S. private jet flying (202,839 segments) was 4% ahead of 2023 for the trailing four weeks ending on November 24, 2024.

WingX Managing Director Richard Koe says, “Business jet activity is trending up by 7% since the U.S. election and follows a strong October compared to 2023. This may suggest a post-election bounce, especially as Trump is expected to lower taxes and may generally be favorable towards the sector.”

Texas saw the biggest surge for the week. Its 5,819 segments were 33% ahead of Week 47 last year.

Over the past four weeks, its 21,876 departures were 8% up year-over-year.

European departures (8,556) were down 2% week-to-week and were 5% ahead of last year.

Over the past month, the region’s 34,187 segments were good for a 3% year-over-year gain.

Flying within and out of Africa continued to lag.

Its 718 segments were down 9% sequentially and 32% compared to 2023.

Over the past four weeks, its 3,098 takeoffs represented an 18% dip.
