NetJets purchased approximately 19.4 million gallons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, or SAF, in 2024.
President Patrick Gallagher wrote in a social media post, “NetJets continues to prioritize our investment in sustainable aviation fuel, which reduces CO2 emissions by up to 80%.”
He added, “We roughly doubled the amount of SAF we purchased in 2024 compared to the prior year, and nobody in the industry buys more SAF than we do.”
In 2020, NetJets was the launch customer of Singature’s SAF program.
At the time, the world’s largest private jet operator committed to purchasing up to three million gallons of SAF.
The unit of Berkshire Hathaway unit also invested in WasteFuel.
The 2021 deal included the purchase of a minimum of 100 million gallons of WasteFuel’s SAF over 10 years.
WasteFuel converts municipal and agricultural waste into low-carbon fuels.
