Verijet was paid for two flights by Jettly but, after canceling the flights, failed to refund payments to the broker.
Jet card and on-demand charter broker Jettly obtained two judgments against Verijet.
The court cases were for flights on Verijet’s Cirrus SF50 Vision Jets.
In both instances, Jettly paid for the flights.
Verijet then canceled the flights but never refunded the money.
Both actions were in the County Court of the Ninth Judicial Circuit In And For Osceola County, Florida.
The total judgment in both cases was $10,063.
According to the court, “The defendant, Verijet, Inc., has failed to file an answer or otherwise respond to the plaintiff’s statement of claim, has further failed to appear at the pre-trial conference after being served.”
Verijet CEO Richard Kane says, “We are triaging by addressing the larger cases first while also working to resolve broker refunds directly, prioritizing those who opted to work with us rather than litigate.”
Kane adds, “We’ve transitioned to a new legal team, and their initial focus is on the areas that will deliver the most significant impact.”
Jettly had filed the lawsuits in May 2024.
Verijet launched in 2020 and quickly became one of the largest private jet charter/fractional operators before falling off the 2024. list.
