Jet card and on-demand private jet charter broker Air Charter Service has become the official private charter supplier to Silverstone. The track is home to British motorsport and an annual F1 race.

The partnership will see Air Charter Service and its long-standing partner, Helipad, deliver an improved customer experience at the heliport.

The new services will be launched at the British Grand Prix.

There will also be a series of new aviation products for Silverstone visitors year-round.

Silverstone is located about two-and-a-half hours by car northwest of London.

The heliport serves over 6,000 passengers on 1,500 flights during the British Grand Prix.

A new bespoke terminal structure will offer over 8,500 square feet of space.

It will feature Helipad’s proprietary passenger system and Air Charter Service flight representatives providing hospitality.

Following this, Air Charter Service plans to launch a series of private aviation solutions for Silverstone’s high-end customers looking to visit the iconic circuit.

That includes a high-end park and fly offering on a dedicated helicopter shuttle from Turweston Aerodrome.

Year-round Destination

Air Charter Service CMO James Leach says, “Silverstone circuit has been at the heart of a sport which is focused on delivering excellence for 75 years, and you can feel the absolute drive towards continuous improvement when you are there.”

He continues, “As an organization, we share that commitment to excellence and want to showcase what we can deliver in terms of customer experience, not just during the British Grand Prix, but throughout the year.”

Leach adds, “Silverstone has a huge amount of high-end hospitality to offer, especially with their new Escapade offering. We feel private aviation can help more racing fans experience it. The benefits of private aviation mainly revolve around time-saving, with our helicopter shuttles saving many people on average between two hours and five hours, whilst those traveling from abroad by private jet can often save even more time when compared with scheduled flights, especially if they add a helicopter transfer to the circuit.”

Silverstone Chief Commercial Officer Nick Read says,  “As Silverstone continues on its journey to become a year-round world-class business and leisure destination, we have seen a growing number of visitors choosing to arrive by helicopter.”

He adds,  “In Air Charter Service, we’ve found a partner who not only shares our passion for providing exceptional service but who has the knowledge and experience to run what is the busiest airspace in Europe over the weekend of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.”
