AeroAngel provides transportation to children who need life-saving treatments. FlyExclusive has partnered with the charity since 2022.
FlyExclusive recently continued its partnership with AeroAngel by flying a young transplant patient from North Carolina to Nebraska.
The nation’s fifth-largest charter/fractional operator flew Andrew, age four, of Firth, Nebraska, and his family, after he received a partial heart transplant at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
The flight was operated on May 16, 2025.
It is a continuation of a partnership with AeroAngel, an aviation charity that provides complimentary transportation, primarily to children, traveling to distant, life-saving medical care.
FlyExclusive COO Matthew Lesmeister said, “We recognize the important, life-saving work that AeroAngel does, and we’re honored to be able to contribute to it.”
He added, “Our company was founded with the belief that we’re part of a larger cause and have the power to make a positive impact on the world.”
Lesmeister noted, “We’re proud to be able to use our fleet to bring critical medical services to the children and families who need it.”
The flight protected Andrew from contagions in busy airports and crowded commercial airline flights.
AeroAngel Executive Director Mark Pestal said, “For Andrew, with his challenging post-transplant condition, a private jet flight home protecting him from the general public is critical to his health and recovery and the safest travel option.”
He said, “AeroAngel’s unique mission is to offer access to life-saving medical care for seriously ill children by removing the barrier of long-distance travel to a children’s hospital when commercial air travel is not a safe option.”
The partnership launched in 2022 has resulted in 40 trips and 55 flights by FlyExclusive.
The flight providers allow Jet Club members to donate tax-deductible funds or flight hours to provide flights for AeroAngel children on their aircraft.
