Surf Air Mobility has unveiled three software products for its SurfOS AI-enabled operating system.

SurfOS is scheduled for broad commercial release in 2026.

BrokerOS, OperatorOS, and OwnerOS are designed to serve the needs of charter brokers, aircraft operators, and aircraft owners, according to the announcement.

SurfOS currently has eight beta user agreements in place.

The new products target the regional air mobility market and global private jet services.

Surf Air values the regional market at up to $115 billion worldwide.

It estimates that the private jet charter services market will reach $41 billion by 2029, with the private aircraft sales market projected to grow to $40 billion by the same year.

SurfOS will integrate industry data into a single platform, “creating an operating system for the Regional Air Mobility industry powered by Palantir Technologies.”

Surf Air CEO and COO Deanna White said, “From crew scheduling to flight planning to sourcing on-demand charter aircraft, SurfOS is helping our teams work smarter every day.”

She continued, “As we roll out more SurfOS tools internally, we will continue to automate manual tasks and improve reliability to ensure our aircraft and crews are operating as efficiently as possible.”

Company Co-founder Sudhin Shahani added, “We’re creating an operating system that unifies industry data to improve efficiency and increase profitability.”

He continued, “Our software will not only serve today’s regional and private aviation stakeholders, but is also being built in anticipation of the rapidly approaching era of electrified aircraft. These new electrified aircraft operators will need modern software to manage flight operations and consumer distribution.”

In March, the company relaunched its jet card product.

Callouts start at six hours.

Key Surf Air OS Products

The key products announced are:

  • BrokerOS comprises software tools specifically designed for charter brokers.

The software tools streamline sourcing, quoting, booking, and payments for charter brokers.

The tools “will reduce manual workflows and will give both new and experienced brokers instant access to available inventory, live pricing, and end-to-end trip management capabilities.”

BrokerOS is currently being used to manage its Surf On Demand charter service.

Once commercially available, it will target the hundreds of Part 295 private charter brokers.

Surf Air also plans to target “thousands of travel agents worldwide.”

Private Jet Operators, Owners

  • OperatorOS comprises software tools specifically designed for aircraft operators.

Its tools are designed to optimize aircraft and crew scheduling for both Part 135 charter operators and scheduled commuter airlines.

Operators can reduce turn times and improve aircraft and pilot utilization by tapping into operational data and automated crew planning, according to the announcement.

It also includes a companion mobile crew app that the company currently uses.

The app enables flight crews to check in for duty and receive flight schedules and operational updates, streamlining day-of-flight coordination.

Once commercially available, OperatorOS will target the over 1,800 Part 135 operators.

  • OwnerOS features software tools specifically designed for aircraft owners.

It provides aircraft owners “insight and better visibility into how their assets are being used as well as an interface to support decisions that optimize aircraft utilization to generate better returns on assets.”

Surf Air will target the owners of the nearly 12,000 Part 135 aircraft with the tool.

Shahani recently bought $1 million in company stock on the open market.

The company is currently undergoing a multi-year transition plan.
