TLC Jet is enabling private jet flyers to avoid the Temporary Flight Restrictions in place when President Donald J. Trump is at Mar-a-Lago.
Private jet flyers going to and from Palm Beach International Airport can now take advantage of a new service for clients of TLC Jet.
TFR stands for Temporary Flight Rules.
They are imposed when President Donald J. Trump and other dignitaries arrive or depart PBI.
They also apply when POTUS 45/47 is in residence at Mar-a-Lago.
PBI is the second-busiest private jet airport in the country.
“We understand many customers want to avoid the TFRs by flying into or out of an airport that is not subject to the restrictions,” TLC Jet Founder Justin Firestone tells Private Jet Card Comparisons.
“TLC Does TFRS!” applies to flights booked with TLC Jet to Palm Beach or Boca Raton airports.
TLC Jet covers your ground transportation to your final destination.
You also have access to its 30,000-square-foot facility at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport, which is just outside the TFR restrictions.
What are the Trump TFR restrictions?
According to an FAA presentation, private jet flyers who want to fly to PBI when a TFR is in effect must depart or transit via five gateway airports.
Airports include Westchester County Airport in New York, Teterboro Airport in New Jersey (the busiest airport in the world for private jets), which serves as the principal airport for Manhattan; Dulles International Airport outside Washington, D.C.; Orlando International Airport; and Fort Lauderdale International Airport.
Aircraft operators must register with the TSA at their preferred gateway airport at least 24 hours before departure.
There will be reservation slots.
As an additional obstacle, TFRs will not be announced earlier than 72 hours before implementation.
Flyers who want to depart from PBI must also undergo TSA screening.
The presentation shows screening is available at FBOs operated by Signature, Atlantic Aviation, Jet Aviation, and a private NetJets terminal.
Firestone adds, “We see our program as an easy way for flyers to avoid the delays that can come with the heightened security and flight restrictions.”
