Global private jet activity recorded only a 1% increase compared to week 50 of 2024, also recording a slight week-over-week dip.
According to WingX, global private jet flight activity increased by about 1% over the past week compared to the same time period last year.
Over week 50, private jets recorded nearly 74,800 total departures.
However, this was a slight decrease compared to last week, as global private jet departures fell by about 3% week over week.
Even so, this was the 32nd consecutive week that global private jets have recorded more flights than the same week of last year.
So far, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
Over the past week, private jets around the world recorded a total of 74,790 departures.
Additionally, on a rolling four-week basis, private jets worldwide recorded over 303,000 departures.
This time period, which includes week 47 through week 50, represents a 4% increase in departures compared to the same time last year.
In terms of the global year-to-date trend, this 4% was slightly less than the year-to-date trend of 5%.
Year-to-date, global private jets have recorded 3.7 million departures, which is up 5% compared to last year.
North America, which typically represents the largest private jet market, saw an increase of 5% year-to-date.
Within the US, New York recorded over 150,000 private jet departures, a 5.8% increase.
Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and Houston were the next largest markets. San Francisco posted the largest year-over-year increase of about 6%.
However, Europe, which is another large private jet market, only saw year-to-date gains of about 1%.
London and Paris represented the largest European markets, although each city showed gains of less than 1%.
Other markets around the world helped to offset this trend. Africa leads in private jet growth, posting a 15% increase, while South America recorded a 10% increase.
The Middle East posted an 8% increase, and Asia posted a 4% increase.
Mexico City was the largest market outside of Europe and North America, recording over 22,000 private jet departures and posting a 7.5% increase.
The past week saw global private jet departures increase by 1% year-over-year.
This was led by the 53,420 private jet departures in North America and the 51,783 private jet departures in the US.
However, the region saw stagnant growth compared to last year and even saw a 4% decrease compared to week 49.
The U.S. saw a similar number of private jet flight departures compared to last year. Texas was the only major market that saw a decrease, which recorded a 1% drop.
Florida and California each saw more flights than last year, recording a 2% and a 4% increase year-over-year.
Even so, these major markets saw week-over-week drops.
Florida saw the largest drop, seeing 12% fewer flights than last week. Additionally, California and Texas each saw a week-over-week drop of about 2%.
Europe saw a significant jump in private jet flights over the past week.
The region recorded over 9,000 private jet flights. This was a 4% increase compared to week 50 of 2024 and 11% more flights than last week.
This jump was led by Switzerland, which saw 12% more flights than last year and 19% more flights than last week.
The UK also saw a 5% jump compared to last year. Even so, Italy, the UK, France, and Germany each recorded 15% or more flights than last week.
France was the only major private jet market that saw a decrease in flights compared to last year, although it still saw 18% more flights than last week.
The Middle East saw a drop in flights compared to both last week and last year.
Other major regions, such as Africa and South America, each saw week-over-week decreases in private jet departures.
However, these regions remained strong compared to last year, recording a 3% increase and a 13% increase, respectively.

Global fractional and charter operations showed continued growth compared to last year. Overall, global Part 91K and Part 135 flights recorded 36,649 departures.
This was a 3% increase compared to last year, but it also had 4% fewer flights than last week.
The United States was the largest market for Part 91K and Part 135 flights, recording 27,567 total departures.
This was a 3% year-over-year increase. However, this was still a 6% drop compared to week 49.
Major markets within the US, such as Florida, California, and Texas, each saw year-over-year increases.
However, compared to last week, both California and Texas recorded 1% decreases in fractional and charter flights.
Additionally, Florida saw the largest week-over-week drop, recording 14% fewer flights than last week.

Fractional and charter operations were surprisingly strong in Europe.
The 6,179 private jet departures were an 11% increase compared to last week. However, this was unchanged from the same time period last year.
Switzerland recorded the largest year-over-year increase, posting 11% more flights than last year. The UK also saw a slight jump of about 3%.
Meanwhile, Germany and France each recorded 7% decreases compared to last year, and Italy recorded a 4% decrease.
The region saw strong increases compared to last week. The UK, Germany, France, and Switzerland each saw week-over-week increases of over 12%.
The Middle East posted 4% more fractional and charter flights than last year, but still recognized a 6% drop compared to last week.
Africa and South America each saw drops of over 10% compared to last week.
However, South America still saw 32% more flights than last year, while Africa saw a significant decrease of about 21% year-over-year.
Asia also recognized a significant year-over-year increase of about 18%, although it still saw 7% fewer flights than last week.
