Worldwide private jet flights dropped 1%, the first year-over-year decline in 37 weeks, as a major storm pushed U.S. flights down 3%.
For the first time in 37 weeks, private jet activity worldwide declined slightly compared with the same period last year.
This drop was driven by declines in the U.S., most notably in the charter and fractional segment, which was 5% below Week 4 totals from last year.
Overall, private jets recorded just over 67,000 total flights globally.
However, this was a decline of approximately 1% compared to week four of last year.
Even so, this was still a slight step up from last week, of about 1%.
So far, in 2026, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:
According to WingX, private jets recorded a total of 67,339 departures around the world over the past week.
This was a 1% decrease relative to the same period in 2025.
Even though this is a slight decrease compared to last year, over the last four weeks, private jets have recorded over 263,000 departures.
This is good for a 2% increase over the same time period last year.
Additionally, private jet departures continue to grow week-over-week. During week 4 of 2026, private jets recorded approximately 1% more flights than last week.
The United States continues to lead the world in terms of total private jet departures.
This past week, the U.S. saw 46,016 total flights, according to WingX.
However, this was a decrease of about 3% year-over-year and a decline of about 1% week-over-week.
Texas, a major private jet market in the U.S., saw an 11% week-over-week drop and a 2% year-over-year drop.
However, other major markets, like California, saw double-digit week-over-week increases. Even so, this was not enough to secure year-over-year growth in the U.S.
