Private Jet Flight Activity Analysis – 2026 – Week 3

Global private jet activity continues to climb compared to the same time period last year through the third week of 2026.

Over the past week, private jets around the world totaled over 66,000 departures.

Compared to the third week of last year, this represents a 2% increase.

Additionally, according to WingX, this was a slight increase of about 1% compared to last week.

So far, on a year-over-year basis, the scorecard shows:

  • Weeks Up: 2
  • Weeks Flat: 1
  • Weeks Down: 0
  • 36 Weeks Since Down Week

According to WingX, global private jets recorded 66,445 total departures worldwide. 

Building off last week’s growth, private jet travel has continued to pick up the pace through the third week of 2026.

This past week, private jets recorded approximately 1,100 more flights than in the same week last year, representing a 2% increase.

On a rolling last four-week basis, which traces back into 2025, private jets have recorded approximately 4% more flights compared to the same time period a year ago. This represents the 2025 trend continuing into 2026.

Through the first few weeks of January, private jet travel is up about 3% compared to the same time period at the beginning of last year.

The United States continues to lead the rest of the world in private jet flight activity.

Florida continues to be the busiest private jet market in the US, recording over 7,500 departures over the past week. This represents a growth of about 7% year-over-year.

California and Texas each saw year-over-year increases, each recording a 6% and a 5% jump, respectively.

Europe also saw a slight year-over-year increase in private jet departures, recording about 2% more flights.

This was largely in part due to an increase in private jet travel due to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Airports close to the World Economic Forum recorded approximately 191 private jet arrivals, about 4% more than last year.

Specifically, January 18th recorded 110 private jet arrivals, which is a significant increase compared to the 40 average private jet arrivals that were recorded the rest of January.

Europe also saw a significant increase in private jet activity compared to last week, seeing 13% more flights than week 2 of 2026.

Several popular markets in the region saw significant week-over-week gains.

The UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, and Italy each saw double-digit week-over-week increases. Germany led the way, recording 31% more flights than last week.

The rest of the world saw significant year-over-year gains as well.

According to WingX, Africa and Asia each saw an 11% increase compared to last year. Private jet flights in Africa are up about 9% so far this year.

South America also saw an 8% gain, while the Middle East saw a slight decrease.

Global fractional and charter operations also saw a slight year-over-year increase. Part 91K and Part 135 flights recorded just under 33,000 flights, which is a 1% year-over-year jump.

However, Part 91K and Part 135 flights also saw about 2% fewer flights compared to last week.

Like global private jet activity, the US led the way in fractional and charter operations, recording nearly 25,000 total departures. This week remained relatively flat compared to last year.

Even so, major markets like California, Texas, and Florida each saw slight increases of around 5%.

Fractional and charter operations in Europe also remained flat compared to the same week last year.

However, several countries saw year-over-year success, including the UK, which saw a 10% jump.

Germany was the only significant market to record a year-over-year drop, which represents a 6% decrease.

Africa was one of the only regions to record a year-over-year decrease, recording 5% fewer flights than last year.

Even so, Asia saw a significant 22% increase, while South America saw an 8% increase in fractional and charter operations.
