Long-haul intercontinental travel and shorter hops between homesites, business meetings, and leisure destinations are powering private jet demand, according to data from VistaJet.

The private jet company revealed top growth markets in an interview with Arabian Business.

The story expanded on data VistaJet had provided for the Knight Frank Wealth Report.

Chief Commercial Officer Ian Moore told the business publication, “We see global wealth becoming increasingly mobile, with clients living across multiple cities and continents.”

Moor added, “Demand for long-haul travel between emerging and established financial hubs is rising, alongside the continued importance of high-frequency European routes.”

In terms of long-haul private jet demand, Africa-to-Asia had the largest percentage increase in 2025 compared to the previous year.

It was up 42%.

Ultra-long-haul flights also saw significant growth.

Flights connecting North America, the Middle East, and South America increased 28%.

North America and Africa flights were close behind, up 26%

Earlier this month, VistaJet said it would upgrade its entire Global 7500 fleet to Global 8000s.

The upgrade of the Bombardier ultra-long-haul private jets will be completed by the end of the year.

It adds both range and speed to the Global 8000 platform.

Retail costs are around $3 million per aircraft.

VistaJet has 18 in its fleet.

Route Growth

Moore shared that Jeddah and Riyadh saw a 269% increase as Saudi Arabia opened its domestic private jet charter market to foreign operators.

Abu Dhabi and London saw a 238% increase, powered by capital flows, sovereign wealth, and education.

Multi-home lifestyle pushed Nantucket and New York to a 192% gain.

The expansion of the Mediterranean luxury circuit pushed private jet flights from Nice and Palma up by 137%.

Flights from London, Farnborough, and Samedan in Switzerland increased by 137%, driven by luxury travel and winter sports.

Washington, D.C., and White Plains, New York, flights more than doubled, up 107% year-over-year, driven by demand from the government and finance corridors.

Global festivals and events boosted flight bookings to Cannes and Paris by 100% despite the French government increasing taxes on charter flights.

Boca Raton and New York flights were up 70%, representing a multi-home lifestyle.

Start-ups and enterprise growth boosted flight traffic in Mumbai and New Delhi by 68%.

Fashion, luxury, and business meetings saw Milan-Paris flights 66% higher.

Private jet charter flights to Hong Kong and Tokyo were up 65% amid regional economic demand.

Earlier this year, VistaJet placed a firm order for 40 Bombardier Challenger 3500s.

It added options for 120 more.

Those jets provide the range for regional supersonic flights.

The stand-up super-midsize cabin features a flat floor and has made it a staple of the charter and fractional market in the category.

New Young Flyers

The Knight Frank Wealth Report noted the trend to younger first-time users.

Nearly half (47%) of first-time private jet flyers were under age 45.

Moore said the trend reflects “a younger, globally minded generation of wealth creators.”

He added, “Together, these trends highlight how wealth is being lived today – with seamless global connectivity now essential, and private aviation playing a central role in enabling multi-location living.”
