Surf Air wants travel agents to book private jet charters

Travel agents are the target of a new promotion from Surf Air.

It is offering a complimentary one-year membership for unlimited use of its online instant booking platform.

Normal fee is $2,388.

Surf Air claims to have over 2,000 private aircraft on its platform.

The most recent FAA Part 135 report shows over 10,000 aircraft available for charter in the U.S.

Travel agents earn up to 50% of the net margin for bookings.

According to the pitch, “Surf On Demand’s platform is an easy-to-use flight booking tool for private flights, allowing you to book your clients’ air travel anywhere across the U.S. in just a few clicks.”

It continues, “The Surf On Demand Travel Agent Club is your one-stop marketplace for booking private flights.”

The company notes, “As part of the Surf On Demand Travel Agent Club, you’ll earn commission on every booking.”

Surf Air Mobility has been trying to pivot to profitability after years of losses.

It is hoping to become a leader in urban mobility and online charter bookings.

In April, billionaire Ken Griffin’s Citadel took a 7.1% stake in the company.
