Air Charter Service completes first phase of headquarters upgrade

Air Charter Service recently completed the first phase of upgrades to its London headquarters.

The five-story building spans 47,000 square feet.

Included in the upgrade are a staff restaurant and fitness center.

Employees get free breakfast and lunch.

The building houses the company’s three main UK sales departments.

It is also home to centralized finance, IT, 24-hour flight operations, marketing, legal, compliance, human resources, management, and support departments.

The training facility is also used for advanced management training.

Chairman Chris Leach says, “Our headquarters is the largest and most significant building in the ACS group,” adding, “When the opportunity arose to buy the building, we decided it was the right time to purchase it, as it allowed us to invest in creating not just a good, but an industry-leading workplace.”

The initial major changes included revitalizing the ground-floor reception area, creating a new staff restaurant and games area, upgrading the gym, changing rooms, and massage and exercise wing, creating an in-house film studio, and redeveloping the Digital Transformation and IT department.

There is also a large, secure cycle park for staff bikes, which complements our cycle-to-work scheme.

The restaurant area now has seating for more than 120 people.

It incorporates coffee shop-style breakout areas and a games room.

Leach says, “Our objective was to make coming into the building a pleasure and to make sure that our team has everything they need to thrive at work.”

The next phase will include meeting rooms, the training area, and EV charging spaces to accommodate increased demand.
