There are currently 68 Gulfstream 450s, 600s, 700s, and now G500s in Flexjet’s fleet of over 340 fractional private jets.
Flexjet has entered into an agreement with Gulfstream Aerospace for exclusivity as the only fractional provider to receive delivery of new Gulfstream G500 and G700 aircraft.
It also formally announced the addition of the Gulfstream G500 to its fleet.
Last year, Flexjet introduced the ultra-long-range Gulfstream G700.
Its Gulfstream fleet now includes the G700, G650, G500, and G450.
Flexjet currently operates 68 large and ultra-long-range Gulfstream aircraft.
The G500 will gradually replace G450s.
They will serve as the large cabin aircraft type in the future.
The G500 offers an increased range of 5,200 nautical miles and a boosted long-range capability for high-speed cruising at Mach 0.90.
The G500 is 33% more fuel-efficient, able to fly nearly 1,000 nautical miles farther on the same amount of fuel as the G450.
Cabin altitudes of only 3,255 feet while flying at 41,000 feet.
Fresh air is replenished every two to three minutes.
The Gulfstream G500 will operate as part of Flexjet’s celebrated Red Label by Flexjet program.
That includes unique artisan interiors making up the LXi Cabin Collection and flight crews assigned to a single, specific tail number.
These crews include Flexjet cabin servers who have undergone advanced training at the Flexjet Red Label Academy outside London.
The program includes FXLuxe Travel Guides and Chairman’s Club destination experiences, available gratis to Red Label aircraft Owners.
Directional Aviation Capital acquired Flexjet from Bombardier in 2013 for $185 million.
At the time, it operated a fleet exclusive to the OEM.
Flexjet’s move to Gulfstream started with a 2014 order.
Flexjet currently has 340 aircraft.
It is expected to take delivery of 50 additional private jets in 2026.
A Flexjet spokesperson declined to provide additional details about its pact with Gulfstream.
