The Gulfstream G550 joins Northern Jet’s fleet of Challenger large cabin aircraft. Last month it officially launched a large cabin jet card.
Northern Jet has added a Gulfstream G550 to its FAA Part 135 operating certificate.
It is the company’s first ultra-long-range aircraft.
It is also the largest jet in its fleet to date.
Last month, the Orlando, Florida-based operator officially launched its first large-cabin jet card.
CEO Chris Bull says, “The Gulfstream G550 marks an exciting new chapter for Northern Jet.”
Bull adds, “This addition reflects our continued growth, the strength of our aircraft management capabilities, and our commitment to supporting the evolving travel needs of our clients.”
The G550 features a stand-up cabin with multiple living areas.
The aircraft can accommodate up to 14 passengers.
It is also equipped with Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi.
Per the most recent FAA data, Northern Jet currently has 31 aircraft on its charter certificate.
Its large-cabin fleet previously comprised four Bombardier Challenger 601 series large jets.
Northern Jet ranked as the 15th-largest charter/fractional operator in the U.S. last year, following 15% year-over-year growth in flight hours.
