PlaneSense plans to equip its entire fleet with satellite Wi-Fi, powered by aviation internet provider Gogo Galileo.

The operator will have Gogo’s lightweight HDX antennas factory-installed on future jet deliveries, with installations on the existing fleet to begin later this year.

“For more than 30 years,” said George Antoniadis, PlaneSense CEO, in a press release. “We have built the PlaneSense program around our clients’ needs, pairing a modern fleet with a thoughtful approach to technology and service.”

Antoniadis continued:

‘With Gogo Galileo, we are bringing reliable, high-performance bandwidth to our entire fleet. Our clients will be able to stay connected consistently from takeoff to landing, making their time onboard more productive and enjoyable.’

PlaneSense’s entire fleet consists of Pilatus aircraft, with 49 PC-12 turboprops and 19 PC-24 jets registered per FAA data.

The operator expects to take delivery of its first Galileo-equipped PC-24 in late October.

Installation on its existing fleet will begin at the same time, and all subsequent new PC-24s will arrive with Galileo factory-installed.

Installation on the PC-12s will begin in November.

The operator expects to complete installation across its entire fleet by the end of 2027.

Gogo Galileo satellite coverage

Gogo is a private company providing satellite internet coverage to private and government aviation.

It’s powered by the Eutelsat OneWeb LEO (low-earth orbit) network, and competes with Starlink for onboard satellite Wi-Fi coverage.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with a premier fractional operator like PlaneSense,” said Chris Moore, Gogo CEO, in a press release.

Moore continued:

‘Like all Gogo customers, PlaneSense fractional owners will also have access to our comprehensive suite of value-added services including advanced cybersecurity protections and training and industry-leading 24/7/365 global customer support. PlaneSense customers can rest easy knowing that Gogo minimizes data retention and protects customers’ sensitive information as we are committed to customer privacy.’
