Living Legends of Aviation recognizes PlaneSense founder George Antoniadis and Solairus Aviation founder Dan Drohan.
PlaneSense Founder and CEO George Antoniadis and Solairus Aviation Founder and CEO Dan Drohan were among the luminaries honored by Living Legends of Aviation.
The group honors “remarkable people of extraordinary accomplishment in aviation, including entrepreneurs, innovators, industry leaders, astronauts, record breakers, pilots who have become celebrities, and celebrities who have become pilots.”
The Legends meet yearly to recognize and honor individuals who have made significant contributions to aviation.
Awards were presented during the 22nd annual event.
John Travolta hosted the evening.
The ceremony was held last week at the Beverly Hilton’s International Ballroom in Beverly Hills, California.
Flexjet Chairman Kenn Ricci awarded Antoniadis with the Kenn Ricci Lifetime Aviation Entrepreneur Award.
Ricci said, “I understand how hard it is to start and run a successful fractional aviation company.”
He continued, “George has carved a niche for himself within the industry via a cost-effective program with an aircraft type offered nowhere else.”
Ricci added, “George’s contribution to the industry makes him crucial to our industry’s foundation.”
Drohan was inducted into the Living Legends.
PlaneSense and Solairus perennially rank among the 10 largest U.S. private jet operators.
Tony Lefebvre, CEO of FBO group Signature Aviation, received the Lifetime Aviation Industry Leader Award.
