SC Aviation is owned by Colony Brands, a privately held mail-order business with estimated 2025 revenues of $1.2 billion.

SC Aviation tracks its history back to 1946.

That’s when The Swiss Colony, a mail-order cheese company, purchased its first aircraft.

Its origins began as a corporate flight department.

In 1993, Swiss Colony’s pilots presented a plan to the executives to charter their aircraft, so that when the executives weren’t flying, they could generate revenue and offset operating costs.

In 2016, SC Aviation began construction of a 30,000-square-foot hangar at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport (JVL), expanding capacity to serve aircraft owners, flight departments, and charter clients throughout the Midwest.

The project had a positive economic impact of $22.5 million.

In 2023, the fleet was expanded with the addition of super-midsize Challenger 300 and Challenger 350 aircraft.
