Directional Aviation’s Sentient Jet, preferred aviation partner for a second year in a row with the Kentucky Derby, announced it will provide expanded travel services through Derby Air powered by Sentient Jet, according to a press release.

In addition to offering its cardholders the opportunity to purchase tickets to the invite-only Mansion as well as the Derby’s other hospitality venues during their exclusive pre-sale period this year, Sentient will be sponsoring a Derby Day Breakfast with celebrity chef Bobby Flay on Saturday, May 6 at the 21c Museum Hotel from 9:00-11:00AM. During the event, Flay, a horseracing aficionado and ambassador for the company, will prepare a southern-inspired, Kentucky-influenced menu and special bourbon cocktail for Cardholders, as well as share his betting tips and picks for Derby.

It brings to mind three of my favorite things: bourbon, thoroughbreds and amazing southern food,” said Flay. “I’m thrilled to be able to kick off one of America’s greatest sporting events with Sentient Jet on the first Saturday of May with the first meal of that day, a breakfast fit for the Derby.”
As part of its partnership with the Derby, which is one of the most popular sporting events for private aviation, Sentient will also expand its travel services through Derby Air powered by Sentient Jet and will allow non-cardholders to book private jet travel to-and-from Louisville without a Jet Card commitment. This builds upon last year’s Derby Air service, which was offered exclusively to those who purchased tickets to The Mansion. Both Cardholders and Derby Air travelers flying to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby and Oaks will be treated to a curated Kentucky Derby experience including a bespoke in-flight cocktail created by Flay.
Sentient Jet was named Preferred Private Aviation Partner of the Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Oaks, and Churchill Downs in a multi-year agreement in 2016. The partnership expanded the company’s longtime presence in the horseracing community as sponsor of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships and Fasig-Tipton.
