In the decade since the Great Recession, the number of jet cards and programs has more than doubled. One driver is that once you choose a jet card provider, it’s the easy way to charter. Jet cards with fixed one-way rates and guaranteed availability enable you to fly with one phone call knowing ahead of time how much it will cost. We’ve seen the entry point for jet cards fall down to just 10 hours, and we’ve even seen promotional 5-hour jet cards.
Now Long Island-based Luxury Aircraft Solutions, founded in 2011, tells us it has launched a 5-hour card that will be available all year. It’s Turboprop Card at $4,252 per hour, including 7.5% FET prices at $21,260. Applicable aircraft include the Cessna Caravan, King Air 90, King Air 100, King Air 200, King Air 250, King Air 300, King Air 350, Piaggio Avanti, and Pilatus PC 12. It also offers cards for Light, Midsize, SuperMid, and Heavy jets. The company also reduced the deposit on its Fixed Hourly Rate Program from $25,000 to $10,000 with one-way pricing ranging from $4,252 per hour up to $11,230 based on cabin size.
Luxury Aircraft Solutions is a broker card program, and it provides an escrow account, plus you can refund any unused funds. In terms of sourcing standards, it uses ARGUS gold with pilot experience based on each of its operators. There are no membership fees or dues, and no fuel surcharges or CPI escalator, however, deicing is extra, billed at cost. There is a 12-minute taxi time per segment and the segment minimum is 90 minutes. There’s a 15% peak day surcharge on 23 peak days, and a top of the league six hours lead time for normal reservations, however, 168 hours for the peak days.
