Airshare adds Chicago, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Louisville

The by-the-day fractional share and jet card seller is expanding its target markets for customers

After rebranding last year from Executive AirShare to Airshare, as we previously reported, the company had plans to expand east from its Kansas City base. This week it happened.

Airshare said it is adding Chicago, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Louisville as markets it will sell fractional shares and jet cards.

While a majority of its 12,000 annual flights operate in and out Dallas, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, and the Great Lakes region, popular destinations for customers include Mexico and the Caribbean, Aspen, and Napa Valley.

“We’ve answered the demand from customers, and we’re pleased to announce our commitment to meeting those needs,” said John Owen, chief executive officer at Airshare.

Airshare’s aggressive growth plan

He added, “Our Upper Midwest expansion allows us to aggressively grow our customer base with the most efficient fractional program in private aviation. The addition of these markets will greatly enhance the service we provide to our existing customers as well.”

As the company it expands, it has NFL superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes as its spokesperson. The all-star has been fronting for Airshare since his rookie season and re-signed earlier this year.

Airshare adds executives

Airshare also said it has added two industry veterans, Chris Mahon and Matt Hall, in support of this expansion and the overall growth of the company.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Mahon’s previous stints included NewGen Aerospace Corporation, Apollo Jets, and JetCard Plus.

The company said, “His previous experience with jet card and charter organizations provides a unique perspective on the fractional jet ownership experience. “

Hall will lead all aircraft management sales for Airshare, coming from Jet Linx in Denver and before that Flexjet.

200% growth

The expansion comes after 200% growth during the past decade, and positions Airshare for further expansion in the Northeast, according to Owen.

“We plan to double the size of our revenue and customer base in the next three years, along with significantly growing our overall fleet,” said Owen.

He added, “Chris and Matt will be instrumental in our pursuit of these goals, and they’re a perfect fit with our commitment to offer unparalleled service and flexibility – allowing our customers to decide when, where and how they fly.”

Airshare previously served members in the Kansas City metropolitan area, Wichita, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Fort Worth, Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Denver, and Buffalo.

The company offers aircraft management and charter services from bases in Fort Worth, Dallas, Wichita, Kansas City, Denver, and Buffalo. Its jet card program begins with 10 days and is targeted to users who make multiple flights on a single day.

Phenom 300 and Phenom 100

It currently operates a fractional fleet of Embraer Phenom 300 and Phenom 100 aircraft, along with approximately 20 other aircraft in its whole aircraft management division. The company is an IS-BAO Stage 2 operator.

Earlier this month JetSuite announced it was longer offering jet cards on its Phenom 100 fleet leaving Airshare, Nicholas Air, Oneflight International, and Airstream Jets as the only U.S. providers to offer fixed-rate, guaranteed availability very light jet programs. Solairus ditched its VLJ program when it relaunched Altitude in May.

The Phenom 300 may be the hottest aircraft type in the world of jet cards these days with NetJets, Magellan and Alliance Aviation all introducing dedicated memberships since the beginning of summer.
