Flexjet goes into the kitchen with Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian

Flexjet launched its first virtual event for owners and jet card customers with Michelin-awarded chef Geoffrey Zakarian

If COVID-19 is keeping you away from your favorite restaurants, Flexjet recently brought one of America’s most regarded chefs into the homes of customers.

It was the first virtual event for Flexjet. Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian, a Chopped judge, Food Network host of #TheKitchen, and The Lambs Club owner, offered tips to attendees. Flexjet chairman Kenn Ricci and CEO Michael Silvestro served as his sous chefs.

A spokesperson tells Private Jet Card Comparisons, “Judging by the success – enthusiastic RSVPs and positive feedback – we are looking into additional virtual events in the future, possibly in the golf category or more in the culinary category.”

Zakarian shared a shopping list and recipe cards so customers could cook alongside the Iron Chef in real-time. During the program, virtual attendees were able to ask questions live, and Chef Zakarian answered them.

Questions included where he bought his steak. Zakarian also addressed why it is important to get the steak to room temperature before cooking it.

“For our Owners it was like watching their own personal cooking channel,” the spokesperson said.

This year, the unit of OneSky Flight announced it would launch its European fractional ownership program in 2021. Perhaps we might see a Flexjet transatlantic culinary or golf challenge in the future. Either pair well with Flexjet’s unique Gulfstream G650 ownership program, allowing you to buy days instead of hours.
