Wheels Up partners with NFL Players Association

Wheels Up and the NFL Players Association will collaborate on experiences such as the NFLPA Rookie Premiere and NFLPA VIP party

When Wheels Up becomes publicly traded later today or tomorrow it will change its name to Wheels Up Experiences. To that end, it continues to roll out more lifestyle partnerships. Today’s announcement brings the private jet company together with the National Football Players Association.

If you’re an NFL player and don’t happen to be a member of Costco, own a Porsche or hold an American Express Centurion or Platinum card – all existing Wheels Up partnerships, the latter pair announced earlier this month – NFL players will now also be able to get “exclusive benefits” from Wheels Up.

Wheels Up to offer members access to NFL player events

If you are not a professional football player, the alliance promises more opportunities to mingle with your favorite stars.

Wheels Up and NFL Players Inc. is the NFLPA’s marketing and licensing business arm. As a result of the deal, it will collaborate with Wheels Up on existing NFLPA events and experiences. That includes the annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere and the NFLPA VIP Party, a private event held during Super Bowl week. Wheels Up is already known for its own mega-party leading up to the championship.

“Wheels Up is proud to team up with the NFLPA and introduce the NFL players and their families to our total aviation solution for their personal and professional travel needs,” said Stephanie Chung, Chief Growth Officer at Wheels Up. “We have always aligned with individual champions throughout the NFL, such as Russell Wilson, J.J. Watt, and Tom Brady to launch our Meals Up initiative with Feeding America, and are thrilled to further our philanthropic relationship with all players through ongoing initiatives that give back to our communities.”

“NFL players around the league dedicate their lives to protecting their communities and finding ways to serve their hometowns and team cities – even during the season when time off the field is very limited,” said Gina Scott, Vice President of Partner Services at NFL Players Inc. “Partnering with such a trusted private aviation company like Wheels Up that also puts an emphasis on philanthropic programs reinforces the power and impact players make in their communities and aligns with the shared values of our membership.”
