So you want to find the lowest price to fly by private jet? With all the recent program changes, we’ve run the numbers from the Private Jet Card Comparisons’ database (Update 107 for 2021) of over 50 jet card providers to give you the cheapest flight costs for short flights, from light jet to large-cabin aircraft. You can also compare jet card pricing to on-demand charter quotes.
Short flights on private jets can save hours of driving time. As you can see, many journeys that would have you stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic can be done in minutes – if you have access to a jet card.
However, figuring out what you will pay isn’t always easy. While fixed-rate jet cards with guaranteed availability mean you know your hourly price, what you pay is driven by additional factors.
Key factors to how much will be debited from your account include daily minimum, fuel surcharges, taxi time, and if taxi time is included in the daily minimum.

If you are flying by light jets and live within 50 miles of Lincoln, Nebraska, Silverhawk Aviation offers the lowest pricing for short flights. On a national basis, Sentient Jet at $5,993 offers the lowest cost for short flights on light jets.
If you need a sub-24-hour call-out, Nicholas Air on the Citation CJ3 ($7,143) and Jet Aviation’s light jet card offer ($7,224) 10-hour call-outs.
Two providers that didn’t make the list were Magellan Jets and Outlier Jets.
Magellan has a 120-minute minimum, but you can use one-third of your hours at a 60-minute minimum, including taxi time. At $5,966 they would be the most cost-effective national program for short flights on their CJ3/CJ4 light jet card.
Outlier Jets bills your first two sub-90 minute legs at 72 minutes, which works out to $7,188 for short flights.

For midsize jets, Sentient again offers the lowest price for short flights ($7,850) on a national basis. Dreamline offers the lowest short flight costs ($7,611) – but you need to fly out of its three home airports in California.

For super-midsize jets, Nicholas Air has a significant price advantage on short flights with its Citation Latitude program. Flexjet’s Challenger 300 jet card is the second-lowest price for those short hops.
