After Crystal Cruises’ bankruptcy filing early last year, the somewhat famous Crystal Skye Boeing 777-200 continued to be marketed by Comlux Aviation for VIP charters.
Of course, the Crystal name on its side was removed.
In July, the VIP Airliner was seen flying players for the upstart LIV golf tour.
Now, it has apparently been purchased by a private owner.
The jumbo jet, which fits 300 seats, was configured with 84 seats that turned into flat beds.
It also featured a private lounge in the forward section, including a bar, a central buffet, and four dining tables, each seating six guests.
The luxury airliner had been popular with both sports teams and UHNW groups who chartered it for safaris and birthday parties.
As of now, we understand its days on the charter market are over.
A Comlux executive confirms it is no longer on the charter market but didn’t offer details.
The representative tells us if you want to fly in style with a large group, the operator has a Boeing 767-200ER that seats 50 passengers in a VIP configuration.
