Silver Lining Catering, a private aviation catering company, launched Pure Aviation, a health-focused menu for conscientious flyers.
Silver Lining Catering recently launched Pure Aviation Curation, a health-focused menu for conscientious jet flyers.
Based in Pompano Beach, Florida, the catering company cooks, packages, and delivers private aviation catering for loading onto jets and in-flight dining.
Silver Lining Catering serves private jets departing from South Florida Airports from Palm Beach to Miami.
The new section of their menu, Pure Aviation Curation (PAC), was announced at an event earlier this month at Silver Lining’s headquarters.
It is in addition to their standard menu.
The menu features lean, protein-rich foods and includes juices, breakfast, salad, an entree, a bowl, and a healthy dessert.
“I decided to rollout PAC,” said Mike Linder, Silver Lining CEO, to Private Jet Card Comparisons, “Due to the change in everyone’s eating habits and keeping up with trends of healthier eating and seed oil free.”
The new menu reflects two challenges for chefs and caterers serving in private aviation: first, adapting to customers’ shifting dietary wants and needs.
And secondly, serving food in jets with cramped kitchens, usually with only a microwave and perhaps a small oven.
Silver Lining delivers between 75 and hundreds of daily orders, depending on the season.
That entails operating a fleet of dedicated delivery vehicles and making as many as a half-dozen trips to any of the region’s busy airports.
PBI, now DJT, OPF, FLL, and FXE all rank in the top 25 airports nationally for private jet movements.
Orders are delivered to FBOs who hold them until flight crews pick them up.
Orders typically serve between two and 16 people.
Their prices, according to Linder, are about $100 per person.
That includes a delivery fee for shipping the food to the airport.
Linder says the menus inspire.
Silver Lining routinely prepares special orders, including securing specific products.
