HondaJet fractional and jet card operator Volato is bulking up its sales team with Norm Katz’s return to business aviation
Katz joins the 2021 fractional and jet card start-up after a decade outside the industry.
He previously served as vice president of sales of JetSuite from 2009 to 2011 before moving to the technology segment.
He is also an alum of MarquisJet and Sentient Jet.
Katz began his career in the information technology consulting industry, where he held individual contributor and management roles for firms such as Gartner, Hackett Group, i2 Technologies, and Dun & Bradstreet.
Most recently, Katz was Chief Operating Officer/Founder of CuraPatient, a healthcare information technology firm.
“As Volato expands its product line to include Stretch Jet Cards and adding Gulfstream G280s to our fractional program, adding a proven sales leader with Norm’s depth of industry experience is an important addition to our team,” said Nicholas Cooper, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Volato.
Katz is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) Marshall School of Business with an M.B.A. and Rutgers University with a B.A. in Economics.
“From my perspective, Volato represents the next generation of private aviation,” said Katz.
He added, “It’s exciting to be part of a great firm with visionary leaders and one of the most customer-friendly flight offerings in the industry. Exciting times are ahead.”
