Vaunt allows members to pay an annual $1,000 fee and then fly empty legs for free.
If you miss JetSmarter from the early days or Delta Private Jets’ SkyAccess empty-leg free private jet flights, you’ll want to check out Vaunt.
An offshoot of HondaJet operator Volato, the app enables you to pay an annual membership of $1,000 and then fly on the repositioning flights at no extra charge.
Tim Graves, Vaunt’s VP of Brand & Product Marketing, tells Private Jet Card Comparisons, “I’m inspired about our mission to make private air travel accessible to a greater audience while also tackling one of the biggest operational challenges in the industry.”
Once you download the app and join, you can review available flights or receive notifications when flights are posted.
You list for the flights you want to fly on the app.
About 24 hours prior to departure, the winner is notified.
You can pay an extra $995 to move to the top of the list.
There’s no cost for the flights, and you get the entire airplane.
An algorithm determines the winner with the goal of spreading the spoils.
We’ve noticed many attractive flights, one to two hours in length, and earlier today flew from West Palm Beach to Charleston.
The program has been in a soft launch since June.
